CityLif.com: Connecting the Web of Places and People
It’s always an exciting day when something new sparks your interest. That’s the feeling we’re hoping you’ll have too when you’ve experienced CityLif.com . The web is changing rapidly and now becoming more user driven every day with less central control. That’s the idea behind CityLif.com ! By placing the publishing power in the hands of the people, we believe we’ll capture a more authentic, interesting and honest view of the city and its diversity of daily life through the eyes of its citizens.
CityLif.com is the hub which connects the web of places and people which make our lives unique. As we grow and continue to add more content from different people and places the connections will become more readily apparent. Every one of us lives, works and plays in places throughout the region and we interact with a wide range of people, whom also live, work and play in places throughout the region . You’ve undoubtedly heard the saying, “This is the smallest big city in the world.” It’s true and we’ll show you how every place and person is connected in some small and interesting way.
As CityLif.com evolves organically we’ll be adding unique spaces for each city in our region. Many stories will be specific to a particular city, while others impact the entire region and should be shared widely. Big regional issues like flood control, affordable housing, the American River Parkway, regional transit and employment impact us all dramatically, but we may all have a unique perspective based on our locale. Most stories will feature one place and the impact on the people living, working or playing there. These are the hyperlocal stories we’ll focus on.
Be sure to read the About Us section and then the Express Yourself section for information on how you can participate in the dialog about your city and our region.
We sincerely hope you enjoy the experience.
